Howlin Wolf's Smokestack Lightning redux
Here's a sequel to my previous blogs on The immortal Howlin' Wolf's immortal 'Smokestack Lightning'. I use this song to teach, drill and train students on Fingerstyle guitar, blues, Em Pentatonic scale work and classic rock. There is a lot here to build on.

Wolf was as fierce as they get. Hubert Sumlin, his guitar player, is featured in an instructional video that I have posted before. He may be hard to follow for beginners and I will break it down slower below, but there are very few better examples of a classic blues guitar player than Hubert.
